It’s time to mark your calendars for one of the most exciting Joomla events of the year. Get ready for the return of the Pizza, Bugs & Fun (PBF) event, scheduled for 26th August 2023.
An event for Joomla enthusiasts to merge passion, knowledge and of course a slice of your favourite pizza!
So what is Pizza, Bugs & Fun?
For those new to the Joomla family, Pizza, Bugs and Fun (PBF) is a worldwide event where Joomla enthusiasts, designers and developers from around the globe come together at various locations to eat pizza, squash bugs, and have fun!
Testing patches is the main activity at a PDF event as there are numerous pull requests (program changes) waiting to be included in the Joomla code. A pull request must be tested at least twice before it makes it into Joomla. Other roles include writing Joomla documentation and testing new features.
So, Do I Need to be a Developer or Programmer to Take Part?
No, we welcome everyone, irrespective of their technical prowess. Whether you’re a Developer, Designer or simply a Joomla user, we need you. The event presents a unique chance to contribute to the Joomla Project. There are three levels of participation, detailed as follows:
Create new Joomla documentation and or translate Joomla Documentation for the official manuals (JDocs/Manual)
Patchtester, testing already existing fixes and features to give feedback and approve them when they’re working
Programmer, fixing issues, improving code.
Online locations will be available around the world via a video server and hopefully even some in-person event locations too!
