JoomlaVote.com - A social news site built for the Joomla! community PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 April 2008

JoomlaVote.com has gone live and allows the community to vote up the latest Joomla! news stories, extensions, templates, articles and tutorials. Top stories get promoted to the front page if enough people vote them up. Casually browsing the Most Popular stories will give you the top current news in the Joomla! world, while digging into the Most Recent section will show you the newest submitted stories and allow you to vote them up or bury them.

JoomlaVote.com also offers a bookmarklet to let you easily submit any Joomla! story right from your favorite browser. Only members can submit new stories, but anybody can vote them up or down. Members can also upload an image with the story to help generate more page views.

Web site owners can choose from an array of buttons to place directly in their own websites. This will make it easy for their site visitors to vote up their content and help spread their news around the Joomla! community. There is even a JavaScript badge that can be placed anywhere in a website's article, similar to the famous Digg badge, that will display the number of votes a particular story has received. Website owners can also appreciate the fact that JoomlaVote.com links directly to each story's website and doesn't use any redirects.

Come check out the new site at JoomlaVote.com!
