 Join us for the first world wide Joomla! 1.5 bug squashing
days on 8th, 9th and 10th of December, in Washington, DC, New York, NY, Mountain View, CA, San Francisco, CA, Vancouver Canada and Brussels
Belgium . On the menu are Joomla! 1.5 bugs, sweet Coffee, lemonade, Pizza and of course a lot of fun!
The challange is to squeeze the exiting priority 1 & 2 bugs and to test as much as we can. If we end up with an empty tracker this would be the perfect result for those events. The development working group has a dream ... an empty bug tracker and many people intensivly testing 1.5."
Please note that space is limited, so don't register unless you are certain you can come. We will create several groups based on your skills. People with development knowledge in Joomla! 1.5 can help squeezing bugs, people with experience in Joomla! can test and make sure there are no bugs missing.
If you can't join us in person, come join us on IRC (#joomlapbf @ freenode.). For more fun, you can even organize a local bug squashing by finding a space with room for you and some others to work, and getting some food. Just join in the IRC so you know what is happening elsewhere. All the bugs fixed at these events will go straight into the trunk of 1.5 ready to be released with the upcoming RC4. Ryan Ozimek from Picnet offers his office and his developers will guide squeezing bugs together with you. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other and support the project you love.
New York, NY USAWithin the big apple the second event will take place. Ryan again hosts the event at this office this time in New York, NY. Same time, same topics, different location. In New York the sessions will be guided by Louis Landry, Joomla! core team member and lead developer. He will make sure that the fixed bugs are really commited to the trunk.
Mountain View, CA USAAgain you have a very rare opportunity to vist the world famouse Google Plex in Mountain View, California. The event is hosted by Leslie (Google), Ryan (OSM board member) and Rob Schley (Joomla! core member and developer) will be on site and make sure all of you have enough food, drinks and fun during the event.
San Francisco, CA USAOn Sunday the bug squeezing event will move over to the PICnet office in San Francisco. Here again you will have the great opportunity to meet Ryan and Rob helping you with the current Joomla! code and making sure the solved bugs find their way into the trunk.
Vancouver
To all the Vancouver, BC, Joomla! developers, bring-in your laptops and join Rastin Mehr
(Joomla! developer) for a fun day of Joomla 1.5 bug squashing. You can
join Rastin on Sunday, December 9th, in Blenz Coffee Yaletown (
Location: 338 Helmcken Street ) where there is free wireless internet,
endless supply of caffeine, and beautiful down town scenery. Not to
mention there will be half-price Pizza & Beer next door at the
Yaletown Pub to make our party even more exciting.
Brussels
To all Belgain, Joomla! developers join the Joomlatools
crew for a great day of bug squashing in Brussels. We are bringing
along some decent Joomla! 1.5 brainpower with Johan Janssens (Joomla!
lead developer) and Laurens Vandeput (Joomla! developer). Both will be
your trunk committers of service. Also joining us is Mathias Verraes,
DOCman lead developer. The event is co-organised with the Local Belgian Police. They have kindly offered meeting space, liquids to keep you going and lunch will also be served. All free of charge !
NOTE : For security reasons people who have not registered will not be allowed in the building. Please make sure you have registered first. |
