Joda Project Progresses PDF Print E-mail

Joda Project, an attempt to build Joomla! native Database Abstraction Layer, started few weeks ago now got its initial coding. Volunteers, core developers and all Joomla! enthusiasts are invited to join.

Two months ago a JQuery project was started (http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jquery_1_5/) but following discussion in Joomla! forums (http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,195747.0.html) the idea evolved to more general project with the draft, somewhat cryptic name Joda.

Final goal is to have a full blown Database Abstraction Layer, including SQL dialect abstraction and even a Joomla Database Schema abstraction.
