Search anything anywhere (well, almost :) ) PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 19 February 2007

Wouldn't it be nice to have a module which adds substantial (and we mean substantial) search capacity to your site? Without any hassle for the site owner, no additional programming, no nothing, and simply search anything on the screen? Mod_ludo_highlight_search is taking care of this.

It allows you to search anything on screen by simply highlighting it, as long as it's not in a wrapper or an iframe. Everything else qualifies as the "food" for a zillion search engines, catalogs, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, picture databases, specialized databases etc. etc. Highlight, click, search, that's it. I know it sounds a bit too good to be true, but, umm, it simply is a nice thing!

Just give it a try. It works in all recent versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox, and probably a couple of others too. You can find it in the Extensions:
