Jomres v2.6 Stable is now available at http://www.jomres.net/ The most obvious changes to Jomres since 2.5 are the redesigned standard templates, but a lot of other stuff has been happening under the bonnet. Below is a sample of some of the notes from the change log, but points of interest are performance improvements, a host of bug fixes and various other tweaks to make Jomres a better system. This version also sees the introduction of new licenses that are governed by the number of guests in the system. This allows us to offer more (read: cheaper) licenses, and enables developers to have test/development servers without purchasing another license. Also, between release of 2.5 some 6 months ago and 2.6, lots of plugins (minicomponents) have been added to the downloads section of Jomres.net. |

Google AdSense Search allows publishers to offer their users web search conveniently on their sites while earning revenue from ads relevant to their search terms. However, the major 'disadvantage' of this was that the search results used to open on the Google domain and not on the publishers' site itself. Now, here it is! Joomlaspan has come out with an extension - a component and module combo that enables just that on your Joomla websites. Your website user searches for a phrase on this search box and bingo! The results open within your site using the current template! It has all the features available in Google AdSense itself, 100% compliant to Google TOS, including language and Google domain selection. This module shows a Google Map with markers of the SOBI2 entries. A Google map with markers of the SOBI2 entries will be shown on each SOBI2 page. In the category views the shown entry markers are dependent on the entries in the categories. Only the entries within a category are shown. The map will not be shown in empty categories or in categories with entries without geo coordinates. The visibility can be adjusted individually. Also the map can be adjusted with various settings, e.g. the size of the map, the map control buttons or the zoom level and the map type. The module requires Joomla 1.0.x, SOBI 2 and a Google Maps API key. You will find a demo of the module on our demo site. Details about getting the SOBI2 Geo Category Overview Module |
