Joda Project, an attempt to build Joomla! native Database Abstraction Layer, started few weeks ago now got its initial coding. Volunteers, core developers and all Joomla! enthusiasts are invited to join.

Two months ago a JQuery project was started (http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jquery_1_5/) but following discussion in Joomla! forums (http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,195747.0.html) the idea evolved to more general project with the draft, somewhat cryptic name Joda.

Final goal is to have a full blown Database Abstraction Layer, including SQL dialect abstraction and even a Joomla Database Schema abstraction.

Jumi includes php, html, js scripts, html pages, txt, swf files etc. into the Joomla! content and/or the module positions.

Jumi extensions can send arbitrary number of argument values into the included script too and thus modify the behavior of the included file.

The Joomla! Tools Suite Project today released an Expanded Tool Set, not only including the StandAlone Joomla! Tools Suite and HISA, but now including a Joomla! Component, Admin Module and Public Site "JTS Promotion" Module.

A new version of the "SOBI Reviews and Ratings" plugin for SOBI2 is available.

The plugin was changed for compatibility with SOBI2 RC2.8.0. It does not longer work with older SOBI2 versions.

Following additional changes are made:

• New ajax send method for more compatibility with some servers
• Pagination for reviews added
• The voting result (stars) is also shown in V-Card
• Reviews listing pages are rebuilt using div containers
• The update info will be displayed only if any review is shown
